Frequently it is faster for us to communicate and try and get our point across than to scribble something down to try and get our point across. If you have ever been stalled in your writing it down there may be an easy solution for you. To take the time to scribble looks to be the issue for many individuals.

Pick a subject or an object and spend 5 minutes writing about it. Then stop and read what you wrote. Did it give you enough material to appreciate what was being explained. If it did, great. If it did not, see where you missed on the points that would have given the information required. Continue practicing this 5 minute method till it is simple for you to communicate your thoughts in that time frame so they are concise and very comprehensible.

Once you've spent a short time practicing this strategy, you can expand your creative writing to 10 minutes. Set a timer if you would like and do it as if you are playing a game. Your prize will be your increased ability to communicate. You'll even find this could apply to your oral communication. It becomes simpler to be completely clear about your subject when you have to think about explaining it in a very brief time.

When you get stuck and have problems explaining something in a little while see what it is that looks to be creating a challenge with your flow. You could need different words to really make your explanation have more lucidity. In this situation try to replace the words with other words that mean the same of have an identical meaning and see whether this could get you unstuck. It's the mixing of words more often than not that creates this result of feeling stuck.

As you change the words or the combination of the words the mind is activated and often the flow starts again. You were just trying too earnestly. Discovering this about yourself and allowing you to try these straightforward exercises will help you uncover and develop your talent (s) and enjoy having the ability to communicate with more ease.
