How to create a good SEO link to an article

by Mary Jonish

When making a website most people get hung up on the technical details but for those that get beyond technical issues and put up a site the whole writing issues start up. Most people I talk to want to have a site but they do not know what they could possibly write about. Many will take months and years after buying a domain name and setting up a site to even write their first article. The hold up has to do with the fear of failure but what we are teaching you assumes you can crank out articles fast. Not every article must be of super high quality but at least 1 out of every 4 articles needs to be great.

So to begin the article writing aspect of our system you will write one really nice clean article about a subject you want to be on your website. You might want to go to one of your favorite websites about that topic and read up on a current event related to that topic. Now that you have some fresh ideas in your head go ahead and write a fresh article for your main site. Keep in mind you do not want to re-post this article on multiple sites. Keep the article on this site only and instead of re-posting it you will now re-write it or change it into 3 new topics and post those additional articles on 3 other websites you control.

The articles you write on your main site need to consider your audience and be written as well as you know how to write. The ideal way to write the additional articles to be placed on additional sites you control do not have to be written as well but of you have the time and energy it is worth making the articles you use to link to the main article written well also. The main article you write can be put on a paid web-host website. You can setup a nice site on a host like Bluehost quickly and then move on to creating free sites on places like Blogger.com. Now if you already have articles written you can copy and paste these articles write in to your new site.

Now that you have an article written on these other websites you can concentrate on thinking about how to create a hyperlink in that article that links back to the original article you have written on your main site. Keep in mind that these articles written on other sites are not the exact same as your original article. The articles may be about the same topic but you did not copy and paste the content from one site to another. You never want to duplicate content. Search engines hate duplicate content. To create the links in the article that link back to your article on your main site you simply need to find the paperclip icon in the site graphical user interface. There you can enter the site URL, Title, and Alt Text. The ALT text and keywords are critical to doing an effective SEO linking strategy. You want to make sure you link to the main article using the same words you expect someone to search in Google to find your article. Keep it under 4 words and you will receive more traffic.

In summary you can do very well with article writing if you try and not think about it too much. I recommend reading a few quality articles written by others on a topic you are considering writing about. Do a take away where immediately after reading a few article try and crank out a good solid quality article from what you remember having just read. The next 3 articles you write that you use to link back to this main article from other sites need not be thought over to hard. On the other sites simply start typing and hope for the best. Keep each article slightly different but it is fine if do not get each sentence grammatically perfect. If possible attempt to add in some good sales copy and call to action at the end of those articles that link back to assist in getting those articles to send traffic to the main site for the chance that people read the three smaller network site articles prior to getting to the main site.
